Why Choose Exceptional Schnauzers?
Health Guarantee
Exceptional Schnauzers guarantees the health of your puppy for 2 years. For details on this health guarantee please discuss with Tommy or Becky.
Not a Puppy Mill
Exception Schnauzers is not a puppy mill. Puppy mills are pretty abhorrent places, where dogs are deprived of space, social interaction, and adequate healthcare. Our moms, dads and pups are treated as family, often with the run of house.
We invite you to come and visit, play with the pups, love on the moms and dads, spend as much time as you need to know you have made the right choice.
About Us
Exceptional Schnauzers has developed the reputation of producing high quality pups. When buyers came to their residence, Tommy and Becky would ask them how they heard of Exceptional Schnauzers? Frequently the response was, “I asked my vet” (the majority of the time their vet was not associated with Key Animal Clinic) or “I asked my dog groomer”. The vets and dog groomers would ask their clients whose schnauzers they liked, where they purchased their dog. The response was Exceptional Schnauzers. Tommy and Becky take pride in the dogs they raise, with most of their pups going to repeat buyers or to people who know someone who has purchased an Exceptional Schnauzers pup.
This is our only inbread pup
This is pocket, she is the smallest of the mini schnauzer we have had. She is a cousin of our current moms. Her human dad thinks he is funny putting her in a bread slice. Pocket lives with her human mom and dad in Houston, Texas. Her dad is also our web master.
About the Breed
Miniature Schnauzers were recognized as a breed by AKC in 1926. AKC does not recognize Toy or Teacup schnauzers.
The Miniature Schnauzer, the smallest of the three Schnauzer breeds, is a generally healthy, long-lived, and low-shedding companion. Add an outgoing personality, a portable size, and sporty good looks, and you’ve got an ideal family dog. Stocky, robust little dogs standing 12 to 14 inches, Miniature Schnauzers were bred down from their larger cousins, Standard Schnauzers. Miniature Schnauzers can weigh up to 20 pounds. The bushy beard and eyebrows give them a charming, human-like expression. The hard, wiry coat comes in three color patterns: salt and pepper, black and silver, and solid black. Created to be all-around farm dogs and ratters, they are tough, muscular, and fearless without being aggressive. The Miniature Schnauzer is a bright, friendly, trainable companion, small enough to adapt to apartment life but tireless enough to patrol acres of farmland. They get along well with other animals and kids. Miniature Schnauzers are sturdy little guys and enjoy vigorous play. Home and family oriented, they make great watchdogs.
